Robin Hood’s Legend and a Medieval Tour
The legend of Robin Hood is a tale that became a legend since the mid era. The story of the heroic struggle of a benevolent criminal defense against the tyranny of the masses in this cruel though never stopped for the telling. Moreover, the legend of Robin Hood is filled with a touching love story and an amazing friendship. Robin Hood legend was proved to be cracked by even been told time and perhaps hundreds of years based on a true story.
The Legend of Robin Hood began in a place in England, Nottinghamshire, led by the cruel tyranny, the Sheriff of Nothingham. Robin Hood appears as a hero of the commoners, and once the enemy of the nobility. Robin Hood robbed the rich and distributes it to the commoners. Robin Hood had about 140 people as soldiers in the Sherwood Forest and assisted by his friends known as The Merry Men: Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid Marion, Allan a Dale, Will Scarlet, Much the Miller’s.
Sherwood Forest is a forest where Robin Hood lived, which ran from Nottingham to York, and is a place of hunting in medieval times. Sherwood Forest is located in Nottinghamshire, in England’s East Midlands region.
Tourist can find an old oak tree in Nothinghamshire, although its existence is still much debated, so-called Robin Hood residential area that is now a local tourist sites. The tree is also called Sycamore Gap, Hadrian’s Wall. This place is also used as film locations Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Tourist can also visit the Kirklees to see Robin Hood’s grave.
Every summer, there is Robin Hood Festival for one week. Robin Hood Festival recreates a medieval ambiance and features characters from the legend of Robin Hood. Tourist will find jousters and strolling players, dressed in medieval attire, in addition to a medieval encampment complete with jesters, musicians, rat-catchers, alchemists and fire eaters.
