An introduction to collecting car brochures.
Ever since the first car was made manufacturers and tuners have been producing literature to promote their products.
One of the most interesting aspects of collecting auto brochures is that they provide a unique social history of the time they were produced.
For example if you have a brochure for a Volkswagen Beetle from the 1960′s you will find information about the time in which it was produced like hairstyles, clothing and popular decor of the time.

7 Guidelines For Used Car Prices
1. Know a little about pricing before you buy a used car. Franchise dealers that sell used cars add a certain percentage on the original value of the used car in the market. Markup is also added to the price of the used car at dealerships, which will make the price higher.
2. Determine the many factors that affect the used car prices. Used car pricings are affected by installed optional equipments or the location where you are buying the used car. There are areas that have a high market demand for a certain car. If that is the case, you may get a better deal if you travel outside of the zone to shop around for your car.
3. Find the used car’s true market value at NADA. National Automobile Dealer’s Association releases a copy of used car price guides every year. You may also check their web site to check the current prices of the used cars you are looking for.

Understanding Windshield Repair
For most automobile owners, changing oil and doing routine maintenance checks are important aspects of keeping the vehicle healthy. When the car manifests signs of problems, the driver would usually make sure it is corrected immediately to avoid more costly repairs later. But one thing most car owners neglect, but should not, is the windshield. Although the windshield does not belong with the ‘mysterious’ underhood components and seems to be transparent in its use, its importance cannot be understated. As with any car component problems, windshield damage should be repaired immediately.
Many people doubt the value of a chip repair. Paying fifty bucks for a chip repair that is barely the size of a nickel seems unreasonable. However, most do not realize that the windshield is very fragile to internal stress. It may look impenetrable, but when subjected to road and temperature stress, the chip can easily become a crack. Searching recent forums, an Acura owner’s tolerance of “an annoying little rock chip [had] finally become a long streak across the middle of [his] windshield.” (1)

Top 9 Used Car Salesmen Tricks, and How to Avoid Them
One of the biggest moments in many people’s lives is driving off in their brand-spanking-new automobile. It’s an exhilarating feeling. It’s also a big moment because in that very instant, that brand-spanking-new car loses a big chunk of its value—the difference between the retail price you paid and the car’s wholesale value. That’s typically thousands gone in an instant.
That’s why some car buyers choose to shop around for a used car. You save yourself that steep initial drop-off in value. More importantly, you get a car that runs just as well, is just as dependable, and looks and feels as good as that new car—that is, if you play your cards right.
For if there is one pitfall of buying a used car, it’s the risk of buying a lemon, a junker—call it what you want, you get the point: the wrong car. Used car dealers, after all, have nearly as bad a reputation, if not worse, than lawyers do. This holds true for individual people selling their cars through newspapers, Web auctions and classified sites, or with the old-fashioned signs in their car windows. The saying, “Buyer Beware,” no where has more meaning than with cars.
The Top 3 Ways To Look For A Classic Car Online
It’s annoying, I know, but it certainly is effective. The time and energy doing the research might seem annoying but it’s always worth it in the end. Imagine being 3 clicks from the find of your life. That’s the way the classic car market works online. I must admit to being a little bit of a classic car enthusiast myself. Furthermore, I must admit to being a diligent researcher. So, when I’m looking to either buy or examine the collection of classic cars for sale, it’s not too tough. So, I’m going to give you a couple of hints of where to start looking (hint, it’s not the mighty Google. Though, Google is fantastic for a whole bunch of reasons- a high stock price not being last on the list!).
1) Forums. This tip is generally only known to people in the know. There are a ton of forums (basically online community discussion boards) for just about any hobby that you can think of. This certainly includes classic cars. There are probably dozens, if not hundreds, of classic car forums that you can find. And the best part is that a lot of these forums allow the forum members to post live links. The links can either link back to their own sites or interesting listings that they’ve found. Face it: if you search for ‘classic car’ on Google, a few sites will pop up in the top 10. And, from what I’ve seen, they don’t change much over time. But a forum allows a much greater user base to post links to places on the internet that probably aren’t the same as the top 10 listings.
2) Use Ebay. But not to shop. For research. Here’s trick. You don’t have to buy everything you see on Ebay. You can simply search Ebay for Classic Car and then look at the listings. Then, do a little extra effort. Visit the dealer’s website. Look at their selection. It could lead you deeper into the world of classic cars that you’d ever imagine. Ebay is way more than a shopper’s paradise: it’s a researcher’s secret weapon.

The Bad, The Loud, And The Proud
I really like it when I see a car, looking terrible, old, rusted, and dirty, with the speakers just booming. HAH! What a way to make my day. It is clear where some peoples priorities lie. Most of the younger crowd would rather have booming subwoofers, big crazy speakers, and grade A stereo decks, than a nice car.
So let me get this straight – If the average 17 year old, generally males, had 1000 dollars to put towards a vehicle, they would spend 300 on the car and 700 on the speaker system. CRAZYNESS!
“Aw dude, check out this stereo…. Awesome sound”. Yeah, thats swell man, but your car only has 3 wheels. To the more “mature” crowd, sound would be a ridiculus choice over vehicle type. How cool do those kids think they are in there busted cars booming down the road, with their hat on backwords, in an undershirt, with music on louder than than the average person can even handle from the outside of the vehicle? It’s clear how cool they look….
